MLB The Show 22: How to complete May Monthly Awards Program, Lightning Jim Rice, rewards, and more

MLB The Show 22 is here to celebrate the halfway point of May. That means a completely new Monthly Awards program has begun. This one is for the month of May, and it's packed with new challenges, rewards, and packs, much like the April Monthly Awards Program. We don't yet know which players will win Monthly Awards, but we do know that a new Great, Red Sox legend and Baseball Hall of Famer Jim Rice, will receive a Lightning card. So, how are you going to get Rice and finish this program? Let's go over the specifics as well as the benefits.

How to complete May Monthly Awards Program guide

The guidance for the May Monthly Awards Program is divided into stages. This one looks a lot like the one that went live in April. Users must complete a number of Moments, Missions, and Collections in order to proceed through the stages. Since the May Monthly Awards players have yet to be added to the game, the Topps Now Weekly Moments that are added each week are all that can be done at the moment. These have been incorporated into the Monthly Awards programs as of 2022. Users will not be able to go to Stages 2 and 3 until those Monthly Awards players have been added.

This software will be updated with more Moments, Missions, and Collections for all three Stages once the Monthly Awards participants are introduced in June. These will most likely range from completing collections and earning PXP Points with Monthly Awards goods to Moments with Monthly Awards cards. Here's a breakdown of the duties that must be completed, organized by stage:

Stage 1

  • Complete Topps Now Moments (2 pts. each – Each week will see new moments. Each set of weekly moments will range anywhere from six to eight)
  • Complete May Topps Now Collection (14 cards needed – 13 pts.)

Week 1 of Topps Now Moments has eight tasks worth a total of 16 points.
