According to a local news station, rappers Young Thug and Gunna were arrested today in Fulton County, Georgia, on RICO charges. WSB-TV Reporter Michael Seiden said on Twitter on May 9, 2022, that among Young Thug's charges is that he rented a car that was used in the murder of a rival gang member. In a 56-count indictment, the rappers were charged alongside more than two dozen others.

According to Seiden, the 28 people facing accusations are members and affiliates of Young Slime Life or YSL. Young Thug is charged with street gang activity and conspiring to violate the RICO Act, according to Seiden, who said on Twitter that he was reading the 88-page indictment. Gunna is charged with one count of conspiracy to violate the RICO Act.

Young Thug Is Accused of Renting a Car That Was Used in a Murder

WSB-TV reports that Young Thug is facing severe allegations. On Twitter, TV reporter Michael Seiden mentioned the 88-page indictment filed in Fulton County. According to Seiden, he is accused of hiring a 2014 Infiniti Q50 automobile from Hertz that was used in the murder of a rival gang member, Donovan Thomas Jr. According to Seiden, the murder took place on January 10, 2015. Young Thug was named as one of the founders of YSL in the indictment.

According to Speiden, the indictment lists Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffrey Williams, as one of the founding members of YSL. Jeffery Williams AKA "Young Thug," AKA "Slime," Walter Murphy AKA "DK," and Trontavious Stephens AKA "Tick," AKA "Slug" are identified as the founders, according to Speiden.
